ARA-290 (Cibinetide): An Innate Repair Receptor Research Guide
What is ARA-290?
ARA-290, also known as cibinetide, is a short synthetic peptide derived from a region of the erythropoietin (EPO) molecule. Unlike EPO itself, ARA-290 is studied for the tissue-protective and anti-inflammatory side of EPO biology without the effect on red-blood-cell production. It is investigated in the context of tissue protection, inflammation and neuropathic models, which is the basis of its research interest.
Studied mechanisms of action
In research models, ARA-290 is investigated for its selective activation of the so-called innate repair receptor — a receptor complex distinct from the classical EPO receptor that drives red-blood-cell production. Through this receptor it is studied for anti-inflammatory signalling, protection of tissue under metabolic or inflammatory stress, and effects relevant to small-nerve-fibre and neuropathic models. Because it engages the repair-and-protection arm of EPO biology without stimulating erythropoiesis, ARA-290 is used as a research tool to probe tissue protection in isolation.
The state of the research
ARA-290 / cibinetide has a preclinical literature and has been examined in clinical investigation for certain inflammatory and neuropathic contexts under its cibinetide designation. Within the research-compound community its use remains experimental and model-dependent. Researchers account for its selective, non-erythropoietic mechanism when interpreting results. All use described here is preclinical and for laboratory study.
Handling & storage for research
Supplied as a lyophilised powder. Store sealed vials cold and protected from light; reconstitute with bacteriostatic water for laboratory handling and keep the reconstituted solution refrigerated, using it within the appropriate window. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and vigorous agitation. Every Aura Labs batch ships with a third-party certificate of analysis confirming identity and purity above 99%.
Why researchers choose Aura Labs
Aura Labs supplies research peptides across Southeast Asia with third-party testing on every batch, a certificate of analysis available for each lot, and discreet, fast regional dispatch. Purity, accurate labelling and reproducible quality are the priorities researchers rely on for consistent results.
