GHRP-6: A Growth-Hormone-Releasing Peptide Research Guide

What is GHRP-6?

GHRP-6 (growth-hormone-releasing peptide 6) is a synthetic hexapeptide and one of the earliest and most-studied growth-hormone secretagogues. It belongs to the same class as Ipamorelin and GHRP-2 – peptides studied for triggering pulses of growth-hormone release – and is investigated for its action on the growth-hormone axis and, distinctively, for a pronounced effect on appetite signalling.

Studied mechanisms of action

In research models, GHRP-6 acts at the growth-hormone secretagogue receptor, the same receptor engaged by the hunger hormone ghrelin. Through this receptor it is studied for stimulating the release of growth hormone from the pituitary in a pulsatile pattern. A distinguishing feature compared with more selective secretagogues such as Ipamorelin is that GHRP-6 is also studied for a marked stimulation of appetite, reflecting its strong engagement of the ghrelin-receptor pathway. It is often studied in combination with a GHRH analogue such as CJC-1295, where the two are investigated for complementary effects on growth-hormone pulses.

The state of the research

GHRP-6 has a long preclinical literature in growth-hormone and metabolic research as one of the foundational secretagogue peptides. Within the research-compound community its use is experimental and model-dependent, and its appetite-stimulating profile is a noted consideration relative to more selective secretagogues. It is studied alongside GHRP-2, Ipamorelin and the GHRH analogues. Results remain preclinical.

Handling & storage for research

Supplied as a lyophilised powder. Store sealed vials cold and protected from light; reconstitute with bacteriostatic water for laboratory handling and keep the reconstituted solution refrigerated, using it within the appropriate window. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and vigorous agitation. Every Aura Labs batch ships with a third-party certificate of analysis confirming identity and purity above 99%.

Why researchers choose Aura Labs

Aura Labs supplies research peptides across Southeast Asia with third-party testing on every batch, a certificate of analysis available for each lot, and discreet, fast regional dispatch. Purity, accurate labelling and reproducible quality are the priorities researchers rely on for consistent results.
